Best time to go on an NYC helicopter tour: The best time to ride on a New York helicopter tour is during the spring or fall months. Spring (March to May) offers mild weather with blooming flowers and clearer skies, while fall (September to November) provides stunning foliage colors and comfortable temperatures, making for picturesque aerial views of the city.
*All tours are operational only from Monday to Saturday since New York has flight restrictions on Sundays.

For all the New York helicopter tours, you will need to transfer from the wheelchair onto the helicopter and be able to sit in one of the seats with your legs bent.
Downtown Manhattan Heliport: For passengers under 150 lbs, the staff can assist you into the helicopter and will bring your wheelchair to and from the Heliport while you are flying.
For passengers over 150 lbs, you must be able to transfer on your own or have someone with you who can assist you up into the helicopter.

The maximum weight limit for each passenger is 275lb. Individuals weighing over this may be asked to wait for a flight that can safely accommodate them. Seat belt extenders can be provided if required.
Additionally, please note that children below 2 must be seated on the lap of an adult at all times during the ride.
The boarding point for tours departing from Manhattan is at Downtown Manhattan Heliport, while the tours from New Jersey start from Linden Airport.
If the weather conditions are bad, your tour may be canceled or rescheduled. You can either opt for an alternate date suitable to you or get a full refund.
Children below 2 do not require tickets.
You can take subway lines N, R, W, or 1 to get to Downtown Manhattan Heliport. The closest stations are South Ferry station and Whitehall St-South Ferry station.
To get to Linden Airport from New York, you can take the NJ Transit from New York Penn Station to Linden Station, New Jersey. A complimentary shuttle is available from Linden Station to Linden Airport on request.
Parking is available at Linden Airport but not at Downtown Manhattan Heliport. If you’re driving to the Manhattan departure point, you can park your vehicle at nearby parking garages located at South Street & Whitehall Street, South Street & Old Slip Road, or at the South Street Seaport (Pier 17).
Plan to arrive at the heliport at least 30 minutes before your departure time.
Choosing between the day or night helicopter tour is solely based on your preference. While the day tour offers a clear and stunning aerial view of New York, the night tour offers a unique opportunity to witness the city adorned with night lights.
